Saft Productions presents: Owlmother 2012!

by saftstockholm

I am very happy to say that the record label Saft Productions has taken on it’s first independent act: Owlmother!

”Räddhare” is the second album created by this playful yet emotive up and comer, and will be released on Saft Productions during spring 2012. Edgy and imaginative electro-indie combined with self-adhesive choruses, puts Owlmother in a musical sphere together with artists such as Imogen Heap, Fever Ray and Kate Bush.

Owlmother grew up in the north of Sweden. She has been writing songs since the age of three, but has kept them to her self for many years. She describes herself as a ”hard working music addict who dies a bit when being away from creativity for to long”. She has already had success in Germany and the Benelux with her other project, the duo Winding stairs who have gotten great reviews in different magazines such as Intro magazine, Stereo magazine, Sillo magazine etc, You can find their latest single on the Rolling stone magazine new album New Noises Vol 106.

Owlmothers soft and floating voice flatters its way into your senses and takes you on a journey” – Aviva Berlin
Electronic pop music that falls somewhere between Kylie Minogue and Sohpie Rimheden”- Skivkoll
Owlmothers singing is excelent, often with many harmonys and the songs are modern and subtle pop pastilles” – Gothenburg daily news about owlmother first album

To get a taste of Owlmother you can check out her self-produced song and video right here:

Owlmother is also found on Spotify!

Yes, a young guy for Friday night… This guy sings softly and sweetly, just the way I like it…

Ok, I know this is not a classic reggaeton but rahter a merengue. Anyways I just love the lyrics in a wierd way so, hope you like it too : )

For those of you who dont speak Spanish – the lyrics are about a girl who is not interested in a relationship or anything like that. She just wants the sex so you can stop talking and just give it to her, ok…? This shameless attitude towards sex is also why I relate this to the reggaeton-genre I guess…

Today’s song is a kind of a reggaeton-inspired-electro-beat, and this is why I fell for it! (And YES – the song is so much better than the video ; )

I love fusions and think the electro blends perfectly with with the Latin here… You like it too?
